The Good Shepherd

Death, darkness and destruction run rampant in a world overwhelmed by suicidal terrorists. They kill in the name of religion, blindly obeying a book authored by a man with no connection to the true God of Light.

Their bible teaches them that 72 virtuous wives await their presence in a fictional heaven. It is only a figment of an overactive imagination. They kill, maim and destroy without feeling or concern for the objects of their rage. Mothers and fathers, babies and small children, the aged and infirmed are all subject to being torn limb from limb by the explosive hatred of these purveyors of death.

In stark contrast to this nightmare of horror is the true God of all creation:

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:11  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

What is the difference between the God of Light and the god of darkness?

The God of light brings “light” into a soul’s life, the god of darkness only brings more darkness.

The God of light brings “life,” the god of darkness only brings death.

John 1:4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

It’s easy to know which god is THE God. Just look closely at how He treats His sheep. It’s not hard to spot the real Shepherd.

Psa 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

May the New Year reveal the true sheep of the true Shepherd to all of those around you.

HAVE A BLESSED 2008!
