GOD’S PRESENCE IS

ALL AROUND YOU

Enveloped by the warm embrace of a noonday sun, blanketed in the nurturing moisture of the early morning dew, a verdant meadow glistens with the radiant glow of newborn life. It wants for nothing. God made sure of that. He fine-tuned creation to provide sufficiently for every element within its boundaries.

Jesus taught this principle when gave an impromptu object lesson using the lilies of the field as His illustration:

Luke 12:27  Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

How careful God was to imbue every living thing with a reflection of His presence. Consider the lilies: they have no earthly king to protect them, no royal gardener to ensure their sustenance; but, they are cared for just the same. Solomon in all his resplendent glory was never so finely arrayed as one solitary lily growing in an isolated corner of some faraway valley.

No wonder the Sweet Psalmist of Israel could pen such knowing words regarding the omnipresence of God. David saw God in the stars, felt Him in the wind, heard him in the trilling bird’s happy song and sensed Him in the very meadows that sustained the life of his flocks.

God’s presence is all around you. His sun wraps you in its warmth. His rain sweeps away the dust and deposits its life-giving liquid in springs and wells for you to drink. His purposeful wind cleanses the air and causes the tree to reach further into the soil for more stability. The very earth practices the presence of the Lord!

ARE YOU PRACTICING HIS PRESENCE?
